What can I put in a bin?

General Waste	Household waste including clothes/fabrics, toys, paper, cardboard, kitchenware, untreated timber, carpet and rugs, furniture and appliances, plastics, glass, steel, fridges, washing machines, green waste can be included. Most general household waste, ask us if unsure. Weight limits apply.	Hazardous materials – asbestos, treated timber, liquids, wet paint tins, food, rotting/putrid waste, Bricks, soil, concrete, pavers, tiles, dirt, sand/stone, rocks, pebbles, rubble, roof tiles, gas bottles, mattresses, tyres, televisions, computer monitors.
Green Waste	Shrubs, grass clippings, twigs, branches, leaves and palm fronds, woodchips and all branches have to fit inside skip not over hanging. Weight limits apply.	Treated timber, palms tree trunks and large tree roots, soil with turf attached, full pot plants.
Clean fill	Soil (without turf attached), sand	Bricks, concrete, pavers, tiles, stone, rocks, pebbles, rubble, roof tiles, palms tree trunks and large tree roots. No General waste or green waste, palm tree trunks, tree trunks and roots, full pot plants (including plant). Hazardous materials – asbestos, liquids, wet paint tins, food, rotting/putrid waste, gas bottles, mattresses, tyres, televisions, computer monitors.
Hard refuse	Concrete, bricks, pavers, ceramic tiles, rubble, stone, pebbles and rocks, roof tiles and floor tiles.	No General waste or green waste, palm tree trunks, tree trunks and roots, full pot plants (including plant). Hazardous materials – asbestos, liquids, wet paint tins, food, rotting/putrid waste, gas bottles, mattresses, tyres, televisions, computer monitors.
Waste that attract additional charges	Excess weight for general waste will be charged at $290 per tone plus GST or part there of. Mattresses, televisions, computer monitors, gas bottles, will be accepted for an additional fee.
Items We do not accept	Treated timber, wet paint, food, rotting/putrid waste, asbestos, liquid waste, tyres, toxic waste or any chemicals, medical or soiled nappies, deceased animals/people, animal waste.
